Product introduction

4210 is a two-component polyamide adduct-cured epoxytopcoat. its tough paint film has excellent adhesion, flexibility,impact resistance and chemical resistance.

Recommended applications

It can be used as a topcoat for high-performance coatings toprotect steelstructures. lt can also be used as protective coatingsfor steel structures in contact with alkaline gas and steel structuresin contact with coastal salt spray gas, as well as concrete surfaceswater tanks, oil storage tanks and other places.

Recommended DFT：50 μm (corresponding WFT=91 μm)

Theoretical quantity required (50 μm)：11 m² /L or 8.2 m²/kg

SG：1.34 kg/L (SGs are slightly different for different colors)

Flash point：27℃

Construction conditions

The surface of the previous coat must be dry.

Remove oil stains, dust and other impurities on the surface ofthe previous paint film.

The substrate must have a temperature >3°C above the dewpoint.The environment should be <85%RH.

Use this product only when the painting and curing can becarried out normally at above 5°C. The painting surface mustbe clean and dry.

Painting method

Painting methods：airless spraying/air spraying/brush coating/roller coating

Diluent：103 epoxy diluent

Dilution：0-5% of the coating weight, The actual addition may be adjusted according to the field painting method

Nozzle size：0.4-0.5 mm

Spraying pressure：15-20 Mpa

Film thickness：Non-recommended film thickness may be adopted according to the purpose and area. But this will change the coating rate andaffect the drying time and repainting interval. The normal dry film thickness of a single coat is: 50-100um. it is recommendedto spray two coats with a total dry film thickness of 100um, check whether there are 3 coats or above for when brushing or rollercoating.
