Product introduction

3170 is an alkyd coating composed of long oil alkyd resin,titanium dioxide and other colored pigments, driers, auxiliariesand solvents. The paint film has good weather resistance.mechanical strength and seawater impact resistance.

Recommended applications

It is suitable for the hull and superstructure above the shipwaterline, and for the topcoat of onshore steel structures.

Construction conditions

The previous coat should be completely dry.

Remove all oil stains and impurities on the surface of paint film.

The substrate must have a temperature >3°C above the dewpoint. The environment should be <85%RH.

It is recommended to paint at above -10°c. The paintingsurface must be clean and dry.

It is recommended to maintain strong ventilation duringpainting and drying.

Painting method

Painting methods：airless spraying/air spraying/brush coating/ roller coating

Diluent：104 diluent

Dilution：0-5% of the coating weight, The actual addition may be adjusted according to the field painting method

Nozzle size：0.4-0.5 mm

Spraying pressure：12-15 Mpa

Film thickness：lt is recommended to apply two coats with a total dry film thickness of 70 μm.

Packing specifications：22kg

Shelf life：12 months
