Time:10 Oct,2024

Chlorinated paraffin is a viscous liquid, golden yellow or amber in color, non-flammable, non-explosive, and highly volatile. It is soluble in most organic solvents but insoluble in water and ethanol. It slowly decomposes when heated above 120℃, releasing hydrogen chloride gas. Metal oxides such as iron and zinc can accelerate its decomposition. Chlorinated paraffin is an auxiliary plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride.
